By-elections have been called in Langford-Juan de Fuca and Vancouver-Mount Pleasant for June 24, and our BC NDP team is hitting the ground running.
It’s official! By-elections are on the way and it’s time to introduce our two fantastic candidates to be the next BC NDP MLAs for Langford-Juan de Fuca and Vancouver-Mount Pleasant.
In Langford-Juan de Fuca, we're honoured to have Ravi Parmar represent us.
Ravi is a community leader and school board trustee, known for his pivotal role in expanding public schools in the Sooke School District and his devotion to enhancing infrastructure and healthcare services, Ravi exemplifies unwavering commitment to his community.
For Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, we're proud to field Joan Phillip.
Joan is a respected Indigenous leader with a lifelong commitment to justice, human rights, and the environment. She is ready to bring her extensive experience in community development and Indigenous affairs to the BC Legislature.
The next 28 days are going to be very busy, as Ravi and Joan engage and connect with thousands of people in their communities.
These two ridings may be ones that the BC NDP has represented before, but we’re not taking anything for granted. We’re determined to work hard and earn every vote we can.
